According to details, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin-ul-Haq along with South Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Sousing Pyo has laid the foundation stone for the construction of the IT park in Islamabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Aminul Haq said that it was great news for the people of Pakistan that the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication was going to set up a state-of-the-art IT park in Islamabad equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. ۔ The park is being constructed on an area of ​​15 acres in Chak Shehzad area of ​​Islamabad which will consist of 12 floors and 2 floors will be underground. For the establishment of this park, a loan has been obtained from the Exim Bank of South Korea on very easy terms, which will be repaid in easy installments of 40 years with very modest markup.

Covering an area of ​​more than 66,000 square meters, the total cost of the project is more than Rs. 13.72 billion. In this regard, Minister for Information Technology Syed Aminul Haq said that on completion of the project, about 15,000 people will get employment and the country will get millions of dollars in terms of revenue. A network of STPs is being set up across the country to compete in the digital world.

He thanked the Korean Government and the Korean Ambassador to Islamabad for their full cooperation in the construction of the IT Park. The Federal Minister for IT said that along with other steps to fulfill the vision of Digital Pakistan, it was important that the IT sector Connecting the infrastructure to the IT industry should also provide a platform for those involved in the industry to not only stabilize Pakistan's economy through the IT industry, but also to accelerate the transformation of technology in the digital world. Informing about the usefulness of the project, Syed Amin-ul-Haq said that 5,000 artisans and laborers will be directly and indirectly employed during the construction while 10 to 15,000 IT professionals, students and industry related people will get decent employment after the construction. This will help in the international recognition of Pakistani artisans along with a significant increase in IT exports and will also provide opportunities for foreign direct and local investment.
